This Plume abatement Cooling tower consists of 6 cells and has a very special design since it is located beside the Chiller plant building which will serve the new Satellite Terminal 1 building.
Because the cooling tower is located very near the airport runways the no visible plume design conditions were applied : dry bulb temperature of 13 °C and relative humidity of 92%. These design conditions are very tough for Thailand. This cooling tower has a capacity 10,000 m3/hour with 6 cells. It has a wet section and dry section with an air mixer inside the cooling tower. The client of this project is under construction by Power Line PCL (PLE) and project belong to District Cooling system and Power plant Co.,Ltd (DCAP). The end user is Airports of Thailand PCL (AOT).
This new Satellite Terminal 1 building, when completed could accommodate up to 15 million passengers per year. It has 28 aircraft boarding gates, eight of which will serve Code F A380 aircrafts.
